Ludington Charter Boat Association

#1 Salmon Port on Lake Michigan

Hello,
This year, Michigan Sea Grant will be hosting two regional fishery workshops geared toward Lake Michigan anglers, charter captains, and conservation groups.
Ludington Regional Fishery Workshop
The Ludington Regional Fishery Workshop will be held on the evening of Monday, April 13, at West Shore Community College.
Topics will include development of the Michigan Anglers Consortium, fishing license proposals, the balance of salmon and alewife in Lake Michigan, and stocking levels and other management issues.
We are also featuring a student presentation on salmon research conducted at the Ludington Pumped Storage Plant, and an overview of invasive mussel status and control outlook.
REGISTER NOW FOR LUDINGTON
Registration is free, but you must register in advance and let us know if you will be attending in person or online via Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent to you via email on the morning of the workshop.
South Haven Regional Fishery Workshop
Topics for the April 16 workshop in South Haven include an overview of the sea lamprey control program and an update on findings from 2025 prey fish surveys, along with DNR updates on stocking and other management issues.
Scroll down for the full agenda for the Ludington and the South Haven workshops. Registration is not required for South Haven.
Hope to see you in Ludington or South Haven next month!
